On The Ninth Day Of Christmas

OK, so after showing off all of this fantastic work, it's my turn. My Tag was number 9 and my letter was H. I had to use haberdashery for my tag. Easy I thought but no. I should have chosen G or S but not H. Anyway I did stamp on vellum and add glitter and gems but the lady is dressed in small pieces of fabric which, like all of the other tags, took ages. The idea of doing nine filled me with dread so I cheated a bit by doing just the one.

On The Eighth Day Of Christmas

So we are down to the remaining five. It's going so quick. I'm glad to here you're all enjoying looking at the tags and a big thank you to those of you who have made comments. it is really appreciated. Now onto tonights Tag which is Number 8 by Morag.

Morag chose the letter A and had to use Acetate in her tag. This is a lovely Tag distressed on the main tag with the word EIGHT stamped in pale pink and a stamped image in the bottom right corner. The acetate has then been stamped and placed over the top of the tag with fringe and lovely flowers.

On The Seventh Day Of Christmas

It's been snowing all night and I woke up this morning to lovely thick snow and brilliant sunshine. Some people say climate change is fantasy but I have never, ever seen snow falling with thunder and fork lightning, ever.

Anyway I digress. Today it's time for Tag 7 made by Zoe P. Zoe was given Tag number 7 and chose the letter E. E is for embossing which was the technique she needed to use on the Tag and Zoe has done this by using embossed snowflakes and embossed metal swans. I love the way the swans are in twos with the reflected swan embellished with blue stones as if the swan is mirrored in the water.

On The Sixth Day Of Christmas

Well its Day 6 and time for Michelles Tag. Michelle was given number 6 and she chose the letter B. The technique she needed to use was buttons.

This great tag opens like a book. Michelle has used buttons to embellish the outside of the tag and leaves and raffia to give the tag an authentic look.

On The Fifth Day Of Christmas

And so onto the 5th Day of Christmas Tag and we are already nearly halfway there. That reminds me, I must buy some presents:) Where has the time gone????

Tag 5 was given to Julie B (Starflower) and she chose the letter S. The technique she needed to use was Shrink Plastic and boy has she done that. This lovely tag has a little book depicting the 12 days of Christmas, 5 Gold Rings made from gold wire (how did you get them so round?) and then decorated with holly made from shrink plastic, coloured and then embellished with ruby red gems.

On The Fourth Day Of Christmas

So it's day four of our Days Of Christmas Challenge. Karen was given this one and the letter she chose was M. So the technique Karen had to use was Mica Powder or paints such as Stargazers or Twinkling H2O's ie metallic or pearlescent paints.
Karen has used the paints to colour the background of the tag and also on the mobile phones and beaks. The camera really doesnt catch this very well but the paints shimmer when you move the tag.

On The Third Day Of Christmas

The letter for the third tag was P and the technique given was Punching. Helen P

has used punched hearts to make the Three French Hens and used tiny gold punched hearts to embellish the tag. The musical notes are also made using a punch.

On The Second Day Of Christmas

And now our second tag. The letter chosen was R and the technique given was using Ribbon. Bev W chose to use ribbon at the top of her tag as you normally do, but also to wrap the ribbon around a wire perch for the 2 turtle doves to stand on. On the tag, Bev has used little snowflakes stamped and glittered.

I have shown the tag suspended just to show you that there is a hole cut into the tag for the birds to perch. Love it Bev W.
