Mirror Mirror

In February 2008 Karen and I were lucky enough to take a class by Tim Holtz called Palooza which converted Karen to all things TIM. This is a slightly adapted version that I taught in class today. Everyone got extremely messy and there was lots of mess, but everyone finished their projects.

The mess

Some of the finished pieces, each slightly different because everyone chose their own colours and pictures.

I had a great time. Thank you for your company and watch out for the Altered Book Class coming in March.

Thank you Morag x

Craft Room.......What Craft Room

I've been watching the forum and reading all about your tidying up and the disarray in your Craft Rooms. Well as you know, my craft room disappeared when my son returned home a year ago so for all of you complaining about how untidy your craft room is and how you can't find anything, think of poor me and the piles and piles of boxes I have to sort through everytime I want to craft.

I have to look:

On the table in the dining room

In the wardrobe

In the utility room

In the wardrobe in the garage

And if I still can't find what I'm looking for............I ring Karen

I Remember 2008

This was Karens class last Saturday and you can now find the Bo Bunny papers in the shop. There were two double layouts and this is the first one. There is a hidden photo section on the left hand side and a pocket on the right to keep some of Karens 2008 receipts in. Iwill put more photos on later this week showing more detail.

I Remember 2008 Class

At last we have the details of what you need to bring along to this class so here goes.

Here are the photo sizes that Karen has used in her class. The layouts are designed in such a way thay you can put more or less photos onto the layouts depending on what you want to scrap, so don't worry if you haven't got exactly the right sizes. You can always add them when you get home.

Karen has used:

Double layout one - 4 photos 6" x 4" , 16 wallet size photos no bigger than 2 1/2" x 2" and one photo 5" x 7" (general memories of 2008)

Double layout two - 6 photos 6" x 4" (special memories) although not all of these may be used.

Once again, don't panic if you haven't got the right sized photos, you will still be able to make all 4 pages (2 double layouts) in the class.

This is a fantastic class and the papers are to die for. Scrummy See you there.

Ohhhhhh just a taster. These are fantastic papers to work with and such lovely colours.Works for both men and women so any photos approx 5" x 7" in size and a good idea to bring along a black and white one if you're not sure.

See you on Monday girls and a warm welcome to Sue (Erikas friend) who will be joining our Monday night class.

I'll let you know when you get it right. You can't name yourself though and only 4 names.

Valentines Inspiration

As the Valentines Challenge is now in full swing (Closing Date 31st January) I though you might like some inspiration. This beautiful detailed book by Marion Bushrod was made as part of our DT in 2008.

And as if this isn't enough inspiration, Gayle is bringing some new Valentine cards into the shop. Our Design Team is fantastic. Thank you ladies.
