Nightmare Before Christmas

In November, yes November, we did a challenge on the forum for 4” x 4” squares each depicting a section from the Nightmare before Christmas poem. Over the next few days I will show you the pieces in between some of the other projects we have waiting.

Todays square was completed by Vicky

The lines were:

Off With A Bang

Thank you to everyone who queued up for our SALE yesterday. We had a fantastic day and sold loads of everything. Sorry to those of you who were waiting for the Sale on the website. Due to the sheer number of papers reduced, it has been impossible to monitor stock levels so to avoid disappointment we are putting some discounted items into the specials section and we will continue to add bits until the sale ends.

If you haven’t managed to get to the shop yet, there is still loads left and at bargain prices so come and grab a bargain. Don't forget the Sale finishes at 4pm today so don't miss out.

Now for the second of the Christmas Books. This is the second version of the tag book done by Julie and without photos to make it easier to copy.

Some of the acetate sections are not shown as they were impossible to photograph however you get a good idea on how to decorate the tags.

Still loads to come this week including the 3rd Christmas book taught in a class called “I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus” at the beginning of December. Plus 3 layouts from the very talented Pam Thorburn, done using the Graphic 45 Christmas papers and ……..well just loads. Keep coming back for more inspiration.

Christmas Mini Books

have so much to put on the Blog already that it is going to take me days and days. Believe it or believe it not, there are 3 Christmas books this year. The first 2 I will show you, are the two that were made on 21st and 22nd December in Class.
We all had a great time and it was the ideal opportunity to end our classes with a bang, eat loads and say Merry Christmas to our friends from Class.
So let’s kick off today with the first book made by Karen using the Woodware Tag books which include both chipboard and acrylic pages.

A Very Merry Christmas xxxxx

Who says we don't put the classroom to good use?????? None of our family have dining rooms big enoughto cater for everyone sitting round a table with plenty of room, so this year, as it was karens turn, she decided to use the classroom for our Christmas meal.  Surprisingly enough, it worked really well and we all had a fantastic time.

So form our family to yours, a very Merry Christmas xxxxx

and thank you to everyone who lent us the hot plates and keep warm dishes. They worked a treat :)

On The Twelfth Day Of Christmas

So it's finally here. The last but not least of our Twelve Days of Christmas Tags. Sue U was given number 12 and she chose the letter C and had to use Chipboard for her tag. Sue has put more than one layer of chipboard together and made lovely little chipboard tags which come out of both sides. Nice Tag Sue

On The Eleventh Day Of Christmas

I can't believe we've nearly finished showing all of the tags. Number 11 was given to Valerie and she chose the letter J. J was for jewels and needed to be included on this tag. Valerie has used some lovely paper piecing to make this great tag with jewels on the waistband of the Piper and to decorate the wording. I like the way Val has used the gold and silver Mirri card  for the gold and silver.

On The Tenth Day Of Christmas

Number 10 was the Tag given to Gayle. She chose the letter G and needed to use Glitter on her tag for her technique. Gayle has used (and its a guess) a hand draw Frog coloured in watercolour and then the waistcoat and hat glittered up until it sparkles.

On The Ninth Day Of Christmas

OK, so after showing off all of this fantastic work, it's my turn. My Tag was number 9 and my letter was H. I had to use haberdashery for my tag. Easy I thought but no. I should have chosen G or S but not H. Anyway I did stamp on vellum and add glitter and gems but the lady is dressed in small pieces of fabric which, like all of the other tags, took ages. The idea of doing nine filled me with dread so I cheated a bit by doing just the one.

On The Eighth Day Of Christmas

So we are down to the remaining five. It's going so quick. I'm glad to here you're all enjoying looking at the tags and a big thank you to those of you who have made comments. it is really appreciated. Now onto tonights Tag which is Number 8 by Morag.

Morag chose the letter A and had to use Acetate in her tag. This is a lovely Tag distressed on the main tag with the word EIGHT stamped in pale pink and a stamped image in the bottom right corner. The acetate has then been stamped and placed over the top of the tag with fringe and lovely flowers.
